Elissa Cassavant

Elissa Cassavant, President of the Team Bradley Bear Foundation Inc., is the driving force and lead behind TBB. With the support of her husband, Edward, and her sister, Chelsey, TBB was formed in 2013 as a TBB Fund with Schwab Charitable and later became the Team Bradley Bear Foundation charitable organization in 2014.

Elissa is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, degree in Elementary/Middle Level Education and Masters from the Univ. of Phoenix in Curriculum and Instruction and Masters in Administration. Elissa taught 4th grade, and 7/8th grade for several years while coaching middle level sports and then was led to Administration where she was a vice principal for 3 years. Elissa has been a member of the Junior League of Phoenix supporting the community; is active in her church as a MOM’s member; volunteers in her children’s schools serving on school boards and Room Mother, while also volunteering to coach her daughters’ Basketball teams.

Since leaving the educational setting in 2011, she chose to be home with her son, Bradley, after he was born. A few short months later, Bradley was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, ATRT, in November of 2012. Her strong little fighter continued his fight in and out of the hospital with brain surgery, multiple procedures, chemo, alongside all of the side affects that come with a cancer diagnosis. Bradley gained his angel wings on August 9, 2013.

Bradley is the driving force of TBB’s inception. His memory lives on with the work that the TBB Foundation Inc. does to help children fighting.
